VisualBoyAdvance (VBA) is a free and open source emulator of the Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance handheld game consoles. Besides the DirectX version for the platform, there is also one that is based on the free platform independent graphics library SDL.
Some interesting ftures of VBA includes, Full save game state support, Joystick support, Rltime IPS ing (used mostly to play fan translations), tools, including loggers, viewers, and editor, Auto-fire support, Sound recording, AVI recording, Graphic filters to enhance display: 2xSaI, Super 2xSaI, Super gle, AdvanceMAME, Pixelate, and Motion Blur, Full screen support, Screen capture.
